Uruguayan FinTech infrastructure firm Prometeo raises $13 million in Series A funding, with participation from PayPal Ventures, Samsung Next, and DN Capital partners. Antler Elevate leads the investment, propelling Prometeo's expansion of payments and multi-banking data solutions across Latin America.

Co-founder and co-CEO Ximena Aleman emphasizes Prometeo's goal to unify Latin American financial technology infrastructures under a single API, offering a standardized layer for effective financial operations. The company's embedded banking software platform simplifies connectivity for multinational companies, providing access to payments and bank information from 283 institutions across ten Latin American nations via a unified API.

Prometeo's offerings include real-time payments, account validation services, and cross-border multi-banking data aggregation. Catering to both rapidly growing financial startups and large enterprises, co-founder Rodrigo Tumaián highlights the firm's commitment to safety and compliance, earning trust from major banking and corporate clients.

As Latin America undergoes a digital banking revolution to meet consumer expectations for personalized financial services, Prometeo's funding aims to strengthen its position in facilitating the region's shift towards digital-first and quick payment solutions.
